Live betting opens once the match starts. Odds are recalculated after every wicket and at the end of every over. If Team A loses three wickets their odds of winning go up because pressure in the match increases. If Team B scores 60 runs in the powerplay, their odds come down.
When the batting side loses a wicket, pressure on the remaining batters increases — the bookmaker raises the batting side's odds at that moment (meaning they are now less favoured). Scoring fewer runs than expected in the powerplay has the same effect.
